Wisconsin Soldier Carries a Heavy Load
Private First Class Carl Krejci of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, carries a heavy load as he leaves on patrol from camp in Saidor, New Guinea (present day Papua New Guinea), for a week. In addition to his own gear and weapon, he appears to have a radio on a strap over his shoulder. A muddy, rutted road is behind him. |
