Flying Tea Party

Flying Tea Party | Photograph | Wisconsin Historical Society
A tea party on an airplane, a publicity stunt conceived by Harry Bruno to promote his Cleveland-area airline, Aeromarine Airlines. By taking local reporters and photographers along on an aerial tea party he hoped to demonstrate that flying was safe and comfortable. Eventually Bruno left the airline business and turned to public relations where he made a specialty from his aviation background. Bruno's papers are among the many public relations collections available at the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives.
