Bird's-Eye View of Baraboo in Sauk County, Wisconsin
Baraboo was first settled around 1838, and by 1870 it had become the county seat and the thriving village illustrated here. This birds eye drawing depicts street names and street layouts, houses, trees, and a river. A reference key at the bottom of the map shows the location of the city's court house, county jail, high school, district school, Troting Park, and Baraboo's specific denominational churches (Baptist, Congregational, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Unitarian). At the bottom left of the map is an inset street-view drawing of the city's Court House, and at the bottom right of the map is an inset street-view drawing of the city's high school.
