ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Society holds the Julius P. Heil papers, Heil was a Milwaukee industrialist and Republican governor of Wisconsin (1938-1942). The papers chiefly relate to Heil's public career and consist of chronologically-arranged correspondence, speeches, press releases, campaign briefing books, microfilmed biographical clippings, memorabilia, and other miscellany. Although much of the correspondence is routine, there are several letters from prominent individuals such as Frank Knox, Frances Perkins, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harold Stassen, Henry L. Stimson, Alexander Wiley, and Wendell L. Willkie.
