DESCRIPTION

Civil War General Winfield Scott Hancock and division commanders, (standing left to right) Generals Barlow, Birney, and Gibbon (previously commander of the Iron Brigade). Hancock was named for military hero Winfield Scott. Winfield Scott Hancock, also known by the nickname "Superb," was a celebrated general in the Union Army during the Civil War.
