DESCRIPTION

Group portrait of the Wisconsin Supreme Court in 1903, the year in which a constitutional amendment approved expansion of the court from five to seven judges. Seen here (left to right) are Joshua E. Dodge, John B. Winslow, John B. Cassoday, Rouet D. Marshall, and Robert G. Siebecker. The portraits of former justices hang on the wall behind them. The Supreme Court chamber was located in the addition to the North Wing constructed in 1883.
