According to Lee Damkoehler on 12/02/05, this is probably Ernst Damkoehler. Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers: a resident of Brown [twp] when enlisted on 19 Aug 1862; private, Company I, 26th Infantry; wounded & [taken] prisoner 15 May 1864; died 26 Jun 1864, Andersonville GA of disease. |
