Page 6 of 70. Prophecy reads, "The next discription [sic] brought to my mind in a vivid way the wild and realistic life of the plains. It is not strange that we find George Thompson excelling all the cow boys breaking broncos on the broad, treeless and fenceless stretches of grass land in the far West, following out a natural inclination which was a pleasure and a joy in his school days. His former conquests in athletics will seem little to him in contrast to the great honors he will receive in the great inter-ranch roping contests."
Did George Thompson ever experience the wild, fenceless freedom of the far West? If he really swung a lasso for a while, he did not leave any traces. He made his living with a different kind of horse power, working as a foreman in an auto factory in Pontiac, Michigan.
Information about George Thompson has been researched through U.S. census records.
