ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Page 10 of 70. Prophecy on page 9 reads, "The next portrait takes us to the other extreme. Here in this brilliantly lighted theatre with thousands gazing upon her, Susan McCutcheon steps to the front of the stage with the greatest of ease and grace. From the applause of the audience, it is evident that her success has brought her laurels which are unsurpassed by previous artists in the worlds history." Even if she did not become an actress, Susan M. McCutcheon's life did not lack drama. Her first husband, Mosman Garrison, whom she married in 1908, died in an auto crash in 1913. She married again, though, and became the wife of Edward F. Burns. She died in Eau Claire at age ninety-four. Information about Susan M. McCutcheon has been researched through contemporary newspaper articles and genealogical resources.
