DESCRIPTION

Marchers of Obreros Unidos (United Workers) leaving Wautoma and walking towards Madison along Highway 21 to petition lawmakers to hold farms and food industry corporations accountable for better working conditions for migrant farm workers. Jesus Salas, Obreros Unidos leader, is in front leading the march shaking hands with a man. Next to him is Salvador Sanchez, also a march leader. Behind them are 30 marchers carrying images of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA) banner with the Aztec eagle symbol and the American flag. With Father Garrigan, in the middle of the march, are three men holding signs that say "Juntarnos para ser reconocidos. Hablar para ser oidos. La raza tiene causa"/ "Join to be recognized. Speak to be heard. The people have a cause."
