DESCRIPTION

Color photo of a Thanksgiving Day Parade, either Macy's Parade in Manhattan, New York, or Gimbels' Parade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A man in the foreground walking along the sidewalk is in a red costume with yellow and black pinstriping carries a polearm, and he has a coat of arms consisting of a crown above three flowers on his chest, red gloves, and a black hat with a band made of red, white, and blue squares. Behind him is a "Bus Stop, No Standing" and "No Parking" sign. A pirate ship float towed by a blue and brown International Harvester Scout 4x4 is coming along the street, and a bus with the words "Gray Line" on the side is in the opposite lane. Spectators can be seen in the background.
