National History Day in Wisconsin

National History Day events are held each spring in every region of Wisconsin. Below you'll find dates and contact information for your region.

Wisconsin has seven National History Day regions based on county groupings. Your region is based on your school's location. Each region has a sponsoring institution and a regional coordinator, who coordinates the regional contest as well as provides an additional level of support to participating teachers.

Registration Deadline:Registrations must be received by Friday, April 10, 2015. Qualified contest winners may now register for the state contest online. Schools still need to complete and submit the school registration form (PDF), collect and submit student fees, and submit any student paper projects by mail. Registration Deadline:Wisconsin's national finalists receive specific registration information from the state coordinator at the state event.

Please note: * Entry limit refers to the number of entries that each school is allowed to send to the regional contest per category in each division. For example, in the exhibit category, a school is allowed to send 5 Junior Individual Exhibits, 5 Junior Group Exhibits, 5 Senior Individual Exhibits, and 5 Senior Group Exhibits, etc.

Starting for the 2013-14 school year, all students must now register online to start the regional event registration process. Schools still need to complete and submit this school registration form to complete the registration process, along with submitting all student fees and student paper projects.
