Additional Information: | This fine Greek Revival style house was moved to this site in 1899 when Almon H. Hindes built his new house (122 Water Street) on the original site. It appears on the 1874 Bird's Eye View of Lodi in its original location so it predates both 1874 and Hindes' ownership. Stucco over fieldstone foundation. "Isaac Palmer purchased the land for this house from the U.S. government in August 1849. He sold the property to John Dwinnel in May 1854. This home is a fine example of the Greek Revival architectural style, popular from the 1850s-1870s. Its attached columns and triangular front gable give a temple-like appearance."
