NOTES
Additional Information:This one story gabled ell house features an L-shaped plan configuration, a brick foundation, a brick exterior, a brick trim and an asphalt shingled multi-gable roof. Segmental arched openings distinguish the door and windows on one portion of the structure. The other portion displays an arcade of round arched brickwork designs and a bank of four windows, set within a flat arched opening. The porch was removed sometime before 1975. The residence is in fair condition. It is related to a garage, a building which was constructed in 1966. (See Bib. Ref. A). Architectural/Engineering Significance: This property meets criteria C of the National Register requirements because the property retains enough of the character that it had when the town of Barton was growing and developing. This building contributes to the whole character of the Barton Historic District.
