NOTES
Additional Information:This one and one half story Bungalow styled house features a square shaped plan configuration, a stucco foundation, a clapboard exterior, a wood trim and an asphalt shingled gable roof. Distinguishing the roof is a centered attic story gabled dormer, whose roof is accented by a bargeboard and exposed rafter ends. The windows of this dormer as well as those found elsewhere on the dwelling have one-over-one panes. The main roof, like that of the dormer, is also accented by a bargeboard and exposed rafter ends. Spanning the full length of the facade is a porch, enclosed since 1975. Pilasters distinguish the porch's exterior, as do large picture windows. A bathroom was added in 1976. This 1921 residence is in fair condition. (See Bib. Ref. A). It is related to a garage, a building of which no description was given in the Intensive Survey Form. Architectural/Engineering Significance: This property meets criteria C of the National Register requriements because the property retains enough of the character that it had when the town of Barton was growing and developing. This building contributes to the whole character of the Barton Historic District.
