Additional Information:The building at one time had a two story front porch. THIS TWO STORY, FEDERAL STYLED HOUSE FEATURES A RECTANGULAR SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A STONE FOUNDATION, A COMBINATION BRICK AND STONE EXTERIOR, A STONE TRIM AND A SHINGLED, GABLE ROOF. THE FACADE IS BRICK WITH STONE LINTELS AND SILLS. THE EAST AND WEST FACES ARE MADE OF IRREGULAR STONE. PARAPETS AND PAIRED CHIMNEYS APPEAR AT THE END WALLS. A DOUBLE WOODEN DOORWAY, EACH WITH TRANSOM WINDOWS, ADD TO THE SYMMETRY OF THE FACADE. A WOODEN CORNICE WITH PROMINENT, CORNER ORNAMENTATION FURTHER DISTINGUISHS THE FRONT. THIS RESIDENCE, BUILT BETWEEN 1843 TO 1853 (SEE BIB. REF. A), IS IN GOOD CONDITION.

INDIVIDUALS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS DWELLING AND THE DATES OF THEIR ASSOCIATION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: CHARLES STRONGMAN, FROM 1843 TO THE LATE 1860S; THOMAS STRONGMAN, FROM C. 1870 TO EARLY 1880S (ESTATE); FANNY COAD, AT AN UNKNOWN DATE; AND WADE, AT AN UNKNOWN DATE. (SEE BIB. REF.A, B).
