Six buildings in Greek Revival style are located within a one block area at the 500 blocks of Monroe Street and Water Street. Associated with pioneer settler and entrepreneur Charles D. Cole, the residential scale buildings constructed between 1837 and 1867, providing housings, storefront space, a hostelry and meeting space, and functioned as the heart of the village until the Sheboygan River was bridged. |
