This district, constructed between 1857 and 1934, represents Hudson's historical evolution as a center of commerce. The 21 brick buildings, containing commercial and cultural establishments, are generally two-stories high and in Italianate style. Located along Second and Locust streets, the district includes the Opera Hall Block, Music Hall, banks, hotels, and newspaper buildings.
