Additional Information:Original house was faced in stucco and lower floor was later covered in either a stone veneer or a later stucco coating scored to resemble stone blocks. Sen. Joseph McCarthy was a young lawyer in a Shawano law firm and lived in the Edith Green Boarding House, which later occupied this house, from 1936-1940.
