NOTES
Additional Information:2015- "This two-story commercial building is faced with brick and is highlighted by an elaborate cornice consisting of brick and several bands of molded terra cotta along with occasional ornamental (round and half-round) copper (or green terra cotta) medallions. The main entrance is canted within the northeast corner and the entire storefront consists of replacement brick and modern plate-glass windows. A bay window is located on the east facade's second floor while replacement casement window units pierce the upper level of the north elevation.

Sanborn maps and directories suggest that this building was constructed between 1922 and 1924 to replace an earlier structure at this location. The building originally featured two storefronts with the first operating as a jewelry store run by William Vogt and the second housing a drug store owned by Herman Birr & Elmer Groshung. Vogt remained at this location until the mid 1930s while the drug store continued solely under Birr’s proprietorship from the late 1920s until 1940. In 1950, the building was the home of a drug store and Badger Federal Savings & Loan, both of which had left the building by 1960."
