NOTES
Additional Information:This two story Italianate style commercial building was built in 1870. The storefront retains its original cast iron corner post and cornice, although the storefront bulkheads and window assemblies are all modern replacements. The upper story contains evenly-spaced round arched windows which are currently filled with painted wood panels. The front facade is capped with an elaborate wood cornice with brackets and molded panels. The 11th Street elevation is capped with a simpler cornice composed of corbelled brick string courses. The building is currently located on the same legal parcel as 1035-1037 W. National Ave. (AHI #103661). At an unknown point, the two buildings were joined and are currently identified by one address.
