Mansion designed in a restrained Elizabethan mode; constructed of brown brick with stone trim. See sources 1,2, and 5 for discussions of the house. Built for Schlesinger and later acquired by the Brumder family, from whom the mansion was purchased in 1946 by the Milwaukee State Teacher's College. It was used as a cooperative women's dormitory unitl 1970; since that time, several university offices have been located there. |
