Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Modern building of distinctive design. 2017 - This seven-story Contemporary-style office building was designed by Harry Weese and completed in 1964. It has a rectilinear footprint, box-like form, and flat roof. The first story is mostly glass-walled behind a reinforced concrete substructure that supports the rest of the building above. The upper six stories appear to float above the first story with a narrow void between the two building sections. The upper stories consist of a regular array of paired single light windows between concrete pilasters. Concrete caps above the seventh-story windows give a slight crenellated appearance to the roofline. |
