WAS THE CITY'S 2ND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH AND THE LAST EXTANT ANTE-BELLUM GOTHIC REVIVAL DOWNTOWN. The congregation merged with First Presbyterian to form Immanuel in 1870. In 1871, Welsh Calvanistic bought the building and owned it until 1954. The cast iron cresting was removed from the tower. Ringer raised the church 7 1/2'.

Ferry and Clas remodeled the entrance.

See HABS.

This structure was one of a very few extant examples in this City of pre-Civil War Gothic Revival. Altered considerably over the years, its cast iron cresting was removed in 1871. In 1891 it was raised 4.5 feet and the entry changed in 1908. However, it still retained its basic form which is simplistic and retrained in its design.

North Presbyterian was established as the City's second Presbyterian church. In 1870 they merged with First Presbyterian to form Immanuel. In 1871 the Welsh Calvanistic Society purchased the structure. Milwaukee School of Engineering purchased the building in 1954 and razed it in 1988.

DEMOLISHED.
