Additional Information: | Photo code #2: 75BR-5/36 Unusual wall cladding of oversize concrete blocks having the appearance of dressed ashlar cut stone. Rock faced cut stone or possibly concrete block is used to create a watertable above the foundation and a beltcourse between the first and second floors. It is also used to create quoins at the main building corners. There is a hip roof, polygonal bay window on the east facing facade and all gable ends are sided in wood shingles. Assuming that the concrete block siding is original, it shows an interesting attempt to use a ready-made material to imitate more costly ones. Green Bay Intensive Survey Phases 2, 3 & 4 |
