Possibly unique house stylistically with a Craftsman style front porch mixed with a large flat roofed, stucco sided main block devoid of ornamentation. The main block of the house is rectangular in shape, stucco sided, and has large double hung windows. A thin beltcourse above the first floor 3windows demarcates the second story which has recessed rectangular three light windows. The principle facade has a full width flat roof front porch with a stucco covered fascia and stucco dentil blocks below. Porch windows contain groups of paired 6 lite casement windows with a two light transom above each window below. The front facade above has a stepped parapet with inset panel in the center.

The west facade has a large, simple stucco-covered chimney mass in front of a 1A story tall rectilinear bay window in front of a rectilinear side porch with the same windows as the front porch. The flat roof of the side porch has posts for a non-extant balustrade.

The east facing facade has a large flat roof porte-cochere and a rectilinear bay behind on the east facade.

#650: Garage.

ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SIGNIFICANCE

This house is a unique design in the City of Green Bay, and as such, is considered significant as an example of a style of construction. The house has some stripped down, simplified elements of the Craftsman and Mission styles, but does not really adhere to any of the popular styles in 1909, the year it was constructed. The house was obviously designed by an architect, yet research has not identified the individual or the firm.

The house has retained a great deal of its exterior original material. It was originally a single family home which was converted to four apartments. The current owners are restoring it, over time, to its original condition as a single family home.

The large flat roofed porte-cochere was added in 1918, designed by Foeller and Schober.
