NAER INVENTORY (08/1979): The Universal Atlas Cement Co. buildings consist mainly of five cylindrical four-story condcrete sotrage tanks abutted by a three-story pack house and a one-story sack storage building. The three-story structure is constructed of wood with metal siding and has both agable and shed roofs. The one-story facility is rectangular, has a gable roof and is also built of wood with metal siding. The sack storage and pak house buildings were constructed in 1938 and the storage tanks in 1939, according to Wisconsin Department of revenue property records. The buildings were used by the Universal Atlas Cement Co., a division of U.S. Steel. The Universal firm is listed in a 1941 Green Bay City Directory as a cement manufacturer.
