Additional Information:In order to promote further urban development of the rural town, the Allouez Town Board established a water department in 1924 to provide public water service. A water commission was formed with Herman Greiling appointed its first president. A pump house was constructed on Greene Avenue, in 1925, with service beginning the following spring.
