Additional Information: | Sally Berner, born in Kewaunee, Wisconsin, began taking art courses at the University of Wisconsin- Madison in the 1960s and later at the Peninsula Art School. Berner specializes in oil paintings of animals. Sally has won several national awards, including first prize in the “Animals” category of the Artist’s Magazine in 2001 and first in the “Oil & Acrylic” category at the Kansas Dog Show’s Art Show the following year. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America and the Society of Animal Artists. Today, Sally continues to paint in the wild and at her house on W. Briar Lane, which was constructed in 1959. |
