NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property named 'Otto and Hulda Waak Farmstead'. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Otto and Hulda Waak acquired the property in 1903. The majority of the buildings were probably constructed around 1905. The farmstead includes the farmhouse (AHI #224242), a basement barn (AHI #224243), a concrete block smokehouse (AHI #224244), two sheds (AHI #224245 and 224247), a privy (AHI #224248), and a shed from a neighboring property which was moved to this location around 1987 (AHI #224249). 2013- "The house (AHI# 224242) is two stories tall with a front-gabled gambrel roof. A porch wraps around the east and north sides of the house; this porch has been enclosed with a brick veneer half wall and one-over-one vinyl windows. Other fenestration on the house consists of single and paired one-over-one vinyl windows, fixed-light picture windows, and three-part picture windows with a central light flanked by two narrow double hungs. All the windows appear to be modern replacements, as does the roof." - "CTH II, Talmadge Road - CTH I", WisDOT ID #7826-05-00, Prepared by Justin Miller for GLARC, Inc (2013).
