NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office.

2013- "The Richland County Poor Farm contains eight contributing resources including the Senior Citizens' Home (AHI#224263), the Home for the Aged (224260), a garage (224261), a water utility building (224262), a sewage disposal building (224264), two cemeteries (224266 and 224267), and a caretaker's cottage (224269). Noncontributing resources include a picnic shelter (224270) and a storage shed (224271).

This 1-story astylistic-utilitarian garage was constructed c.1945 as part of the Richland County Poor Farm. It is rectangular in plan with brick walls and an asphalt-shingled side-gabled roof. The front elevation faces east and is asymmetrical in plan due to uneven fenestration. A total of seven garage bays, one doorway, and threee 6-over-6 windows are located across the facade; all garage bays are enclosed by new overhead garage doors. Additional 6-over-6 windows are located in the north and south elevations. A small brick chimney is located at the southern edge of the roof peak."
