Additional Information: | House is visible in the 1885 bird's-eye view of Waupun. Construction date is approximate. 2013- "The A. Rossen bock house was probably built around 1880. This two-story ltalianate house has painted brick walls, stone sills and lintels, and a shallow-pitched hipped roof with scrolled brackets. The house is rectangular in plan with a modern breezeway and garage projecting from the rear elevation. Fenestration is regular. All windows appear to be historic; the first-story windows are two-over-two double hungs, and the second story windows are one-over-one double hungs. Three smaller double hung windows are located in the side and rear elevations, as well. The first story of the front elevation has been clad in vertical beadboard. A full-width porch is located along the front elevation. A smaller side porch is located in the side elevation. Both porches have been completely rebuilt with modern roofs, eaves, posts, railings, and floor structures." - "STH 49/Main Street", WisDOT ID #6090-06-03/75, Prepared by Justin Miller for GLARC, Inc (2012). |
