Farmstead property includes side-gabled house (AHI 224434), basement barn (AHI 224435), garage (AHI 224436), small animal barn (AHI 224437), poultry house (AHI 224439), machine shed (AHI 224441) and three additional sheds (AHI 224438, 224440, and 224442). 2013- "The Side Gabled farmhouse (AHI 224434) was built in 1856. The house is one and one-half stories in height and consists of a side-gabled main block with two telescoping rear additions. The first rear addition is an end-gabled ell; the second addition is a one-story shed-roofed portion. A similar shed-roofed addition projects from the front elevation; this may have originally been a porch which was subsequently enclosed. A modern treated wood deck is located along the south elevation. The house is clad in vinyl siding and has an historic standing seam metal roof. A stone veneer half-wall is located along the west side of the rear ell. Fenestration on the house is irregular and consists of single 3/1 wood double hungs, paired 3/1 wood double hungs, 4-light fixed wood windows, and paired 1/1 aluminum double hungs. The front door, located off-center in the shed-roofed south elevation, is steel and has an aluminum storm door. A concrete block chimney is located along the west (side) wall; a shorter chimney projects from the ridge of the rear ell." - "CTH B, Euclid Ave and County Yard Road", WisDOT ID #6832-09-00, Prepared by Justin Miller for GLARC, Inc (2013). |
