Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2015- "This farmstead includes a house (224940) and three historic outbuildings (a basement barn (224941), Wisconsin dairy barn (224942), and agricultural complex (224943)). Historic plat maps from 1873-74 indicate that a store, the Jackson Post Office, and a school building stood on this property. Subsequent plat maps from 1892, 1931, and 1949 indicate only the school building for District No.2 on this property. None of these buildings are extant. This astylistic Wisconsin Dairy Bam (AHI# 224942) was constructed circa 1880. It is rectangular in plan with a concrete block foundation, vertical board walls, and a gabled, metal roof. There are two former, large doors in centered in the upper level of the west elevation.
