Additional Information: | This one-and-one-half story bungalow was constructed circa 1920. The house is located in the Town of White River with its principal elevation facing west toward STH 13. The house is rectangular in plan with an asphalt-shingled, side-gabled roof and clapboard exterior. A large gabled dormer extends from the western roof slope with a single window at its center, as is characteristic of bungalow architecture. Also characteristic of a bungalow, the roof is long and extends to encompass the mass of the house as well as a glazed front porch. The windows in the porch are three-over-one, double-hung windows and the entrance is offset toward the north end of the porch. The house is the only bungalow identified with in the project APE along STH 13. It is in fair condition and retains a moderate degree of integrity as the original cladding and the original porch windows have been retained. However, several other windows in the north and south elevations have since been replaced, compromising the integrity of the house. |
