Additional Information: | This property includes a side-gabled barn and an agricultural outbuilding. Using the Farmstead Methodology in the WHS Survey Manual, these two buildings were not surveyed. 2023: This 2-story American Foursquare house was constructed c.1910. It is rectangular in plan with clapboard siding and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof with overhanging eaves and a wide, unornamented cornice board. The front elevation faces west and is symmetrical in plan with a 1-story hipped-roof enclosed porch spanning the façade. The enclosed porch features a bank of four 2-over-2 windows (horizontally divided sashes) with decorative shutters; a gablet is located in the roof slope above. A door is located in the north wall of the enclosed porch. The second story features two singly-placed 1-over-1 windows with decorative shutters. A dormer with a pedimented gable projects from the center of the front roof slope. This contains a pair of 2-over-2 windows (horizontally divided sashes). |
