NOTES
Additional Information:2012- "This three-part building was built and owned by several people, but a historic photograph shows that it was erected all at the same time and each section has similar features. The building is faced on the main elevation with dark red brick. There are no cornices and a historic photograph shows that this was the case originally. Each section of the building has a slightly different style of brick corbelling and the center section features diamond shapes. The entire building had tall windows on the second story filled with single light sashes. Today, the center section has rectangular window openings decorated with flat lintels and filled with replacement single-light sashes. The flanking sections each have segmentally-arched openings. The north section has single light sashes and metal awnings, while the south section has modem single-light sashes and partially enclosed openings.

The original storefronts had large show windows with transoms and central entrances also with transoms. The bulkhead of the center section was wood paneled while the flanking stores had rusticated concrete block bulkheads. These bulkheads are all extant and the show windows are still extant in the center and south sections, although the transoms are enclosed. The north section's show windows have been partially enclosed and have two modem, smaller, windows while the transom is covered with a large fixed awning. The entrance of this section is also a modern door. The central storefront has two period entry doors and an entrance covered with plywood. The south entrance was originally a double-door entrance, but it is partially enclosed with wood and a mid-twentieth century door.

The 1912 fire that destroyed the buildings south of this large building also burned the buildings on this site. But, they were rebuilt at the same time in 1912-13. Originally, the Eagan Brothers had a store in the south section, Henry Frank had a men's store in the center section, and Herman Schrandt had a jewelry sore in the north section."
