Additional Information: | The newly inventoried house at 982 S. Oneida Street is a single story Minimal Traditional house. Based on its appearance and the surrounding neighborhood, it was constructed ca. 1950. The brick house has a side gabled roof, a prominent brick chimney, and a symmetrical facade. A pair of six-over-one double hung windows and a picture window with sidelights flank the central entry on the east-facing (front) facade. The window sills are brick in header bond. Three concrete steps and a concrete stoop with wrought iron handrails access the front door. A small gabled bay extends to the south off of the southeast corner of the house. It features three contiguous six-over-one windows with a continuous brick sill in header bond. The roof is sheathed in asphalt shingle. The foundation material is brick. |
