Additional Information:The newly-inventoried house at 1248 S. Oneida Street is a one and one-half story Minimal Traditional house.
Based on its appearance and the surrounding neighborhood, it dates to ca. 1950. The house features a symmetrical facade;
side gabled roof; a central single-story gabled entry bay with a concrete stoop and wrought-iron handrails; a brick
chimney; and two gabled roof dormers with one-over-one windows. The front door (on the east-facing facade) is flanked
by two small one-over-one windows with concrete sills. The remaining windows on the ground floor are one-over-one
with concrete sills. Single-light windows light the basement. The roof is sheathed in asphalt shingle. The foundation
material is brick.
