Bibliographic References: | Assessor's information cites a 1912 date of construction. The 1914 Milwaukee city directory identifies the Pipers at this address and the 1912 directory (which does not include actual addressing in East Milwaukee) does indicate that they resided in East Milwaukee (former name of Shorewood). A citation in the Daily Reporter, 3 July 1916, notes that CW Valentine was preparing plans for the erection of a private garage attached to the residence of Dr. Charles B. Piper on Olive Street. |
