Additional Information: | 2013- "This One Story Cube gas/service station was constructed c.1930. It is irregular in plan with brick walls and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof. The front elevation faces northwest and is asymmetrical in plan due to uneven fenestration. A hipped-roof drive-through bay with brick pier supports projects from the center of the fagade. Windows are single-pane fixed-sash in both rectangular and irregular shapes. A slightly projecting entry bay has been enclosed by composition board siding. The building currently functions as a tavern. A one-story Front Gabled house has been attached to the building by a small hyphen off of the gas station's rear elevation. The house is rectangular in plan with aluminum siding and an asphalt-shingled clipped gable roof. Windows in the house are 1-over-1." -"USH 45: 18th Ave to STH 50", WisDOT#3200-01-02, Prepared by Gail Klein, (2013). |
