Additional Information: | Building #2 of 2-building complex; see AHI# 26056 2014- "The 2-story store/hotel building [26056] is irregular in plan with vinyl siding and a flat roof with a false front featuring decorative brackets. The front elevation faces west and is asymmetrical in plan with a 2-story veranda wrapping around north, west, and south elevations. The first story contains four picture windows and a pair of glass double doors. Individual doors are located at intervals along the second story. A large wing projects from the southeast corner of the building; individual doors are located along the first and second stories and the veranda continues along the second-story of this mass. The 3-story c.1920 building [227582] is T-shaped in plan with vinyl siding and an asphalt-shingled side gabled roof. The front elevation faces west and is symmetrical in plan with a 2-story veranda spanning the façade with individual doors and windows at regular intervals along the first and second stories. Individual balconies project from the third story in between front-gabled dormers at the north and south ends of the façade. Each dormer has cutaway corners with decorative brackets below the gables. The original store building has been converted to a restaurant; the interior could not be accessed at the time of survey, but views through un-shuttered windows show new flooring and drop ceilings with some original wood trim.
