NOTES
Additional Information:Resting on a brick-sheathed, raised basement level, this Contemporary-style, bi-level house is topped with a multiple-angle roofline with wide overhanging eaves. The east end of the lower level comprises the garage, which retains its original, vertical board, overhead garage door. The second level is recessed slightly to provide for a wood-and-metal-rail balcony that fronts a series of three sets of patio doors within a wall covered with vertical board. An angled roofline/wall separates that wing from the remainder of the house which features a continuous wood-and-metal rail deck. The second-level wall space is dominated entirely by glass—either window walls or additional sets of patio doors. The angled exterior “walls” of the house are covered with wooden shingles.

Located in the Price Subdivision, this house was built in 1976 by David Bartz at an estimated cost of $60,000. The general contractor was J.G. Samuels, Inc., which was established by Jim Samuels. Samuels graduated from Ohio State University and moved to Wisconsin in 1967 and began working in the construction/home building business; the following year he established his own business, which continues today. By no later than 1994, the house was sold to Mark Salick.
