NOTES
Additional Information:2014- "The Mainsail Cottages property consists of a Side Gabled house [49621], a Ranch house [227855], and six small vernacular cottages [1: 227853, 2: 227854, 3: 49620, 4: 56901, 5: 227851, 6: 227852].

The 1 ½ story Side Gabled house [49621] was constructed c.1920. It is rectangular in plan with clapboard walls and an asphalt-shingled gable roof. The front elevation faces south and is asymmetrical in plan due to uneven fenestration. A central front door is located within a recessed porch that has been entirely enclosed by sections of metal screening. The remainder of the first story façade contains a bank of three single-pane casement windows. A shed-roofed dormer is located in the center of the front roof slope; this contains two pairs of 1-over-1 windows.

The six adjacent cottages [1: 227853, 2: 227854, 3: 49620, 4: 56901, 5: 227851, 6: 227852] are vernacular in style and were constructed between about 1920 and 1970. They are all rectangular in plan with composition board siding and asphalt-shingled gable or hipped roofs. Cottages 3, 5, and 6 have exposed rafter ends along the side rooflines. Most of the buildings appear to have new doors.

The 1-story Ranch house [227855] was constructed c.1955 and is rectangular in plan with clapboard walls and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof. The front elevation faces west and is asymmetrical in plan due to uneven fenestration. Windows are 1-over-1 and single-pane sliding. Currently, the building appears to serve at the office of the Mainsail Cottages complex."
