Additional Information: | This Front Gabled house was built around 1860, based on assessor records. The house is two stories tall and is clad in painted brick. Two vinyl double hung windows flank a modern fiberglass front door in the first story. The windows have wide aluminum frames. Above, two smaller double hung windows appear to retain their historic window surrounds with wood crown moulding. The house retains its wooden eaves and frieze boards, although the roof appears to be a modern replacement. A small shed-roofed, vinyl-sided addition is located on the north side of the house. The house is a vernacular form with replacement windows and doors. Although the pre-Civil War construction date makes it the oldest house in the APE, no other information was found to suggest significance. The property had not been previously surveyed. A new inventory record was created for it. |
