NOTES
Additional Information:This 1-story Contemporary house was constructed c.1960. It is rectangular in plan with brick walls and an asphaltshingled
hipped roof. The front elevation faces west and is asymmetrical in plan. A hipped-roof projection that is slightly
shorter than the main building mass spans the width of the facade and contains a recessed entrance at the southwest
corner. An angled brick wall with inset glass block screens the doorway from Douglas Avenue. Adjacent to this is a pair
of large picture windows.

The building is in good condition and retains a high degree of integrity. As a Contemporary building, its primary distinguishing feature is the angled brick wall near the front door. Other than this, the building does not display a high degree of architectural interest or distinction within the context of Contemporary architecture in Racine (30 other Contemporary houses have been recorded in WHPD in Racine) or the surrounding neighborhood.

This building has not been previously surveyed. A new AHI record was created.
