Additional Information: | 2014 This two-story, brick, American Foursquare house was constructed by Frank Everson in 1910 (1). The hip roof is covered with asphalt shingles and features two interior brick chimneys, gable dormers, and overhanging eaves. The dormers on the front (east), side (north and south), and rear (west) elevations are sheathed in wood shake shingles. A low-pitched hip roof porch supported by brick piers and closed brick balustrade spans the front facade. The central entry is flanked by bay windows with one-over-one, double-hung sash. Other features include an exterior stairway located on the side (north) elevation. Windows include original multi-light transoms and casements; six-over-one, double-hung sash; and replacement, one-over-one, double hung sashes. Windows have concrete sills and decorative brick headers. The house currently functions as the Sweet Autumn Inn Bed & Breakfast. The interior of the house features a large living room with fireplace and dining room with built-in china closet on the first floor. An open stairway leads to four bedrooms on the second floor. The house also retains its original oak and maple wood work (2). |
