NOTES
Additional Information:This one-story, Contemporary-style commercial building is topped with a flat roof and sheathed with multi-tonal tan brick. An expanse of what appear to be replacement tinted windows dominates the building’s east elevation. Modest projecting brickwork accents each façade near the roofline.

Designed by Edgar A. Stubenrauch & Associates, this building was erected as the Wilson Mutual Insurance Company office; it was completed in July 1961. The subject firm was established by Peter Schneider in 1872 in the Town of Wilson (near the Six Corners area) as the Wilson Mutual Fire Insurance Company. In addition to the main office section, the building included a conference room for directors, private office space, kitchenette and storage. Prior to the construction of the subject building, the insurance office was in the home of August J. Rammer (5521 S. Business Drive), who served as one of the firm’s directors for years and, during that time, annual meetings were held in the Wilson Town Hall at 5933 S. Business Drive. In January 1961, the company dropped the word “Fire” from its name. A larger insurance office for the company was built more recently at the northeast corner of CTH OK & Stahl Road, in the Town of Wilson (and along the project corridor). The subject 1961 building has housed the Wholistic Health Center since the late-1980s
