Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property under the name "Shaw Point Historic District." It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. The Camp Stella Lodge is a one-and-one-half story wood-framed building located along the bluff overlooking Lake Superior. It was used as the Camp Stella kitchen and dining room for several years. Since it was a good gathering space, it also was used for church services. It continues to be used as a seasonal kitchen, dining room, and gathering space for descendants of the Andersen family, which purchased Camp Stella in the 1930s. |
