It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. PROMINENT GAMBREL ROOF WITH DENTILS. LARGE BALUSTRADED PORCH. MURPHY OF MURPHY LUMBER CO. SON OF MURPHY INSURANCE CO. AND MURPHY SUPPLY CO.

The Albert Murphy House (903 S. Quincy St.) illustrates the Colonial Revival mode. Murphy managed Green Bay's largest lumber mill, established near the mouth of the Fox in 1882. Appropriately, Murphy clad his house in wooden clapboards. The two-and-one-half-story residence features a cross-gambrel roof with a bell-cast dormer and a one-story brick porch with Doric columns. A porch and balustraded roof deck wrap around to one side, while a sun porch with casement windows extends to the other.
